Make a Difference – Become a Hospice Volunteer
Why Volunteer with Prudential Hospice?
Hospice volunteers know the deep reward that comes from supporting others at the end of life. As part of our care team, you’ll bring comfort, peace, and companionship to patients and their loved ones during a deeply meaningful time. Just a few hours a week can make a lasting impact—and give you a sense of fulfillment that only hospice volunteers truly understand.
Ways You Can Help
Volunteers offer a special kind of support—unhurried, compassionate presence with no agenda. Whether it’s a warm smile, a listening ear, or a shared moment of peace, your presence enhances the care we provide.
You might:
Visit patients in their homes to offer companionship
Share a hobby, play games, watch TV or listen to music
Read aloud or help write letters and cards
Run light errands or help with meals and simple chores
Care for pets with walks or feeding
Support the hospice team in an administrative role
No experience is required—just compassion. Flexible training is provided.
