What is Palliative Care?

The Palliative Care team consists of physicians, social workers, nurses and chaplains. When patients chose to continue with curative treatments, palliative care can help to provide patients and families with emotional and spiritual support as well.

When should we start thinking about Palliative Care?

Often your physician will initiate the conversation about Palliative Care. At any time, if you or a loved one is overwhelmed by pain or uncontrolled symptoms, a call to Prudential Hospice Care can help you navigate through the difficult decisions that comes with serious medical problems.

Who pays for Palliative Care?

There is no cost to patients who meet the palliative care criteria.
